*Saturday was the 14th Wedding Anniversary of Andrea and Caleb Porter.

*Saad Abdul-Salaam, entered the game in the 2nd half giving him his 100th MLS appearance.

*The first game at the stadium was in 1999, a 2-0 final score and last night’s finale game was also 2-0.

*The first goals in the stadium were scored by a Crew player wearing #11 Jeff Cunningham and the last two goals were also scored by a Crew player wearing #11 Gyasi Zardes.

*Chicago Fire FC was 13th in the MLS Eastern Conference at 1-5-1, 4 points coming into the game

*Overall in the series with the Crew, Chicago is 26-20-22; 16-6-13 at home, 10-14-9 away

*Crew goalkeeper Eloy Room was out of last night’s game. He had been overseas and had to be quarantined

*Evan Bush, who has been around the MLS for years, playing against the Crew for Montreal and Vancouver, got the start. He is 35 years old and from Concord Township, Ohio which is in Lake County.

*Kevin Molino, a huge off-season signing for the Crew, made his 2021 season debut in the 70th minute. He missed the first two months of the season with a hamstring injury.
