This week, multiple scenarios can see MLS NEXT Pro teams clinch a playoff spot or be eliminated from contention. We broke them down by conference below.

Eastern Conference

Columbus Crew 2

Can clinch the Central Division and a playoff spot with a win in regulation vs. Orlando City B

Chicago Fire FC II

Can be eliminated from playoff contention with:

• Loss in regulation vs. NYC II AND

1. RNY FC win in regulation or shootout win

FC Cincinnati 2

Can be eliminated from playoff contention with:

• Loss in regulation, shootout win, or shootout loss vs. Toronto FC II
• FCC2 win in regulation, AND two of the following five scenarios occur:
• NYC II win in regulation, shootout win or shootout loss
• RNY FC win in regulation, shootout win or shootout loss
• Inter Miami II win in regulation or shootout win
• Revolution II win in regulation or shootout win
• Union II win in regulation

Western Conference

Tacoma Defiance

Can clinch the Pacific Division and a spot in the playoffs with:

• a win in regulation vs. Sporting KC II AND
• Quakes II loss in regulation, shootout loss, or shootout win
• a shootout win vs. Sporting KC II AND
• Quakes II loss in regulation or shootout loss
• a shootout loss vs. Sporting KC II AND
• Quakes II loss in regulation

St Louis CITY2

Can clinch playoff spot with:

• a win in regulation vs. Quakes II AND
• MNUFC2 loss in regulation, shootout loss, or shootout win

Sporting KC II

Can be eliminated from playoff contention if:

• North Texas SC win in regulation, shootout win, or shootout loss vs. Rapids 2
• or Sporting KC II loss in regulation or shootout loss vs. Tacoma

Colorado Rapids 2

Can be eliminated from playoff contention with:

• loss in regulation, shootout loss, or shootout win vs. North Texas SC
