Tampa Bay Rays announce sellout for Saturday, May 28

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that their game on Saturday, May 28 against the New York Yankees is sold out. It marks the club’s second sellout of the season, following a 2-1 win on Opening Day over the Baltimore Orioles. Since 2008, the Rays are 111-67 (.624) in the regular season when playing in front of 25,000 or more at Tropicana Field. The 2022 Rays season is presented by Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Saturday’s sold out game is the first of five Devil Rays Days at Tropicana Field this season, during which the Rays will wear their Nike white alternate throwback Devil Rays jerseys and navy blue New Era retro caps. Remaining Devil Rays Days are scheduled for June 25 against the Pittsburgh Pirates, July 30 against the Cleveland Guardians, August 20 against the Kansas City Royals and September 24 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The game will be televised locally by Bally Sports Sun, with first pitch slated for 4:10 p.m. All Rays games are available on WDAE 95.3 FM/620 AM and streaming for free on iHeart Radio in Tampa Bay. Additionally, over 150 games are available in Spanish on Genesis 680 AM/92.9 FM (Monday–Thursday) and Caliente 96.1 FM/101.5 FM/1470 AM (Friday–Sunday).

Tickets are available for the remainder of the homestand against the Miami Marlins (May 24-25) and Yankees (May 26-29). Upon entry to the game on Friday, May 27, all fans will receive a Wander Franco Chain Necklace presented by DEX Imaging. On Sunday, May 29, all fans age 14 and under will receive a Sweatshirt Drawstring Bag presented by Morgan Automotive Group. All promotional items are available while supplies last.
