2021 MLS All-Star Walker Zimmerman continues his run
for back-to-back MLS Defender of the Year honors after
his role in anchoring Nashville SC’s backline to yet another
clean sheet against D.C. United.
Since Aug. 28, Zimmerman has anchored a backline that has recorded five shutouts in
seven road matches.
Nashville SC owns a 0.70 goals-against
average with Zimmerman in the lineup this season, and a
record of 7W-2L-11D.
Zimmerman ranks first among qualified
Nashville SC outfield players in duel percentage at 65%, and
headed duel percentage with 71.3%.
In 2021, Zimmerman has been selected to the MLS Team of the Week four times.
