COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State returns to Value City Arena for a pair of home games this week to close out the home portion of the regular season schedule. The first of the two games will be Thursday night against Nebraska. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on FS1. Chris Vosters and Robbie Hummel will call the action.

• The Buckeyes are 20-7 all-time against Nebraska and 16-5 since the Cornhuskers joined the Big Ten Conference prior to the 2011-12 season. Three of Nebraska’s seven wins have come in the last three meetings, but the Buckeyes are 10-2 all-time inside Value City Arena.
• In the previous meeting this season in Lincoln, Rienk Mask got hot and went 6-of-8 from long range to finish with a career-high 34 points in an 83-69 Cornhusker victory on Jan. 23. Bruce Thornton led the Buckeyes with 16 points and six assists while graduate Jamison Battle and sophomore Bowen Hardman added 11 points. Hardman scored his 11 points in just 7:35 minutes off the bench.
• This will be the 10th time Ohio State is playing a Leap Day game and the first at home since 1972. The Buckeyes are 4-5 in the previous games dating all the way back to 1908.
• The Buckeyes are coming off their second thrilling win in an eight-day span as Dale Bonner’s three-pointer with 0.2 seconds remaining gave the Buckeyes a 60-57 victory at Michigan State on Sunday. It was the Buckeyes’ first true road win of the season and their first since Jan. 1 of last season. It was also the first victory in East Lansing since 2012. Freshman Devin Royal led the Buckeyes with 14 points on a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor. Roddy Gayle Jr. had 12 points on 6-of-6 from the free throw line, including two clutch FTs with 11 seconds left to give the Buckeyes their first lead of the game.
• Royal’s shooting performance marked the first time a Buckeye freshman was a perfect 6-of-6 or better from the floor in a road game in the last 30 years.
• When Dale Bonner is playing well, the Buckeyes are usually playing well. This season, when Bonner knocks down a three-pointer, the Buckeyes have a record of 10-2. The two losses came against Indiana on Feb. 6 when the Buckeyes built an 18-point lead and at Iowa on Feb. 2 when it was no more than a five-point lead the entire game.
• Despite the 6-11 record in the league, the Buckeyes have hung tough this year. They have seven Big Ten games that have been decided by five points or fewer. That’s the second-most behind Maryland’s eight. The Buckeyes are 4-3 in those games.
• Nebraska is having a tremendous season as the Cornhuskers enter the game at 20-8 overall and 10-7 in the conference. This is just the third 20-win season for Nebraska since 2000. Keisei Tominaga leads four Cornhuskers in double figures at 14.0 ppg.
