Final Score: No. 1/1 Ohio State 34, Wisconsin 0

Notes:

§  Ohio State extended its winning streak to 11 consecutive games with its third road win in the last four games, 34-0, over Wisconsin Saturday afternoon in Madison.

§  Ohio State now holds a 64-18-5 advantage over Wisconsin in wins, and the Buckeyes have won 11 consecutive over the Badgers, or since Wisconsin’s 31-18 win in 2010 over No. 1 Ohio State.

§  Ryan Day’s head coaching record is now 77-10 for a winning percentage of .885, best among all active head coaches, and a percentage that even tops Knute Rockne’s all-time career record of .881, although Day doesn’t hit the 10-year threshold for career winning percentage.

§  Day’s teams are now 50-5 in Big Ten Conference games (.909) and 26-3 in true conference road games.

§  Quarterback Julian Sayin led the way by completing 36-of-42 passes (86 pct.) for a career-high 393 yards and four touchdowns.

§  Carnell Tate topped 100 career receptions (104) and 1,500 career receiving yards (1,584) with six catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns against the Badgers.

§  Tate’s 33-yard touchdown reception was his fourth over 30 yards this season – he’s averaging 29.8 yards per touchdown reception – and it moved him into second place nationally with eight catches of 30-or-more yards.

§  Jeremiah Smith tied his career high with nine receptions for 97 yards.

§  Sonny Styles recorded his first career interception in the first quarter. It was the Buckeye defense’s ninth takeaway of the season.

§  Ohio State’s offense drove for a field goal after Styles’ interception. The offense has now scored eight times after a takeaway, including seven touchdowns.

§  Caleb Downs was one off his Ohio State career high with six solo tackles to lead the team. He’s recorded 13 solo tackles the last two games.

§  Ohio State’s defense allowed a season low 144 total yards to Wisconsin.

The People. The Tradition. The Excellence.
