FRIDAY: Miami continues its homestand versus Trinity Christian (Ill.) on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. This contest will count as an exhibition game for the Trolls.
ABOUT TRINITY: Trinity Christian is currently 1-1, as the Trolls grabbed their first victory at home against Clark (Iowa) 96-79 on Tuesday night. Trinity Christian went 8-20 and 5-15 in conference play last year. Head coach David Osborn begins his second season with the Trolls. Heading into the 2025-26 season, Trinity Christian was selected to finish tenth overall in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men’s Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll. Offensively, senior point guard Brandon Adorno leads the team with 17.0 points per game, while Adorno and senior guard Tylan Harris share the highest average for assists (2.5/game). Harris also leads the team in steals (1.5/game) and three different Trolls have recorded the most blocks on the team (0.5/game). Junior guard Jaidan Gilzene has totaled a team-high 5.5 rebounds through the Trolls’ first two games.
THE SERIES WITH THE TROLLS: This Friday will mark the first time that Miami will face off against Trinity Christian.
UP NEXT: Miami hits the road for the first time this season versus Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. (ET).
SEASON OPENER: The Miami University men’s basketball team opened the 2025-26 season at home with an 87-72 comeback victory over Old Dominion on Monday night in the MAC-SBC Challenge. Brant Byers totaled a game-high 18 points, while Evan Ipsaro followed closely behind with 16 points of his own. Peter Suder made his presence felt on the defensive end with the most steals of the game (three) and also added a block. Miami shot 29-of-58 (50%) from the field and went 22-of-27 (81.5%) from the free-throw line. The RedHawks outrebounded the Monarchs 33 to 29.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: With this past Monday’s win over Old Dominion, the Red and White extended its home win streak to 16 games. The RedHawks are looking to snap a Miami record of 23 straight home wins (1996-1998). Last season, the Red and White set a new record of 15 consecutive home wins over the course of one season.
