2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament: 6:50 PM Tonight, First Four winner, #10 Colorado State ( Mountain West) goes up against #7 Texas (Big 12)

COLORADO STATE SERIES INFO
• Thursday’s game would mark the third meeting between Texas
and Colorado State but fi rst since the 1952-53 season.
• The Longhorns have won the previous two matchups, both
when the opponent was offi cially named Colorado A&M.
• In the first meeting (Dec. 27, 1948), Texas claimed a 56-
47 in the opening round of the All-College Tournament in
Oklahoma City, Okla.
• In the most recent meeting (Dec. 15, 1952), the Longhorns
earned a 63-46 victory in Austin.

• TEXAS IN THE BIG DANCE: This marks UT’s 38th overall appearance in March Madness. The Longhorns are one of seven schools to appear in at least 22 of the last 25 NCAAs and one of six schools to appear in at least 30 of the last 35 NCAAs.
• IT’S BEEN A WHILE: Texas is attempting to win its NCAA First Round game for the third-consecutive season. This would mark the first time the Longhorns have accomplished the feat since UT won four-straight NCAA First-Round games from 2006-09.
• MID-COURT MAX: Graduate G Max Abmas leads the team in scoring (17.1 ppg), assists (4.3 apg) and minutes (35.1 mpg) entering the NCAA Tournament. He has climbed into the No. 8 spot on the NCAA Division I men’s all-time scoring list (3,110 points) and is tied for the No. 3 spot on the all-time career three-point field goals made chart (509).
