HENDERSON, Nev. – The Vegas Thrill (2-4) suffered a 3-0 loss (24-26, 23-25, 20-25) against the Columbus Fury (2-2) Saturday night, at the Dollar Loan Center Arena.
Columbus claimed the first set in a tightly-contested 26-24 battle. Vegas then had a 23-19 lead in the second, but the Fury stormed back with a 6-0 run to take a 25-23 victory. Columbus then closed out the match with a 25-20 win in the final frame.
Vegas was led by Hannah Maddux’s 15 kills and eight digs. Saskia Hippe also recorded eight digs along with 10 kills. Alisha Glass Childress dished out a match-high 40 assists and had three blocks.
Columbus was paced by Reagan Cooper’s 15 kills and seven digs. Megan Courtney Lush had a team-high nine digs, while having 10 kills. Raymariely Santos recorded 32 assists and Kaitlyn Hord had a match-high four blocks.
NEXT FOR THE THRILL: Vegas will be back in action on Monday, Feb. 26 when the team travels to Columbus, Ohio, to take on the Columbus Fury. First serve is slated for 4 p.m. PST.
