COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 8/7 Ohio State women’s basketball team (18-3, 9-1 B1G) hosts No. 10/9 Indiana (18-2, 9-1 B1G) on Sunday for a 12 p.m. ET tip-off. The game will be broadcast on FS1 and AM1460.
The Buckeyes are celebrating National Girls & Women in Sports Day with meet and greets on the concourse before the game with other Ohio State women’s teams. Girls in grades 8 and younger will be taking over the behind-the-scenes jobs at Sunday’s game. Sign up HERE for a chance to be a part of this gameday experience. - Ohio State holds an 18-3 record this season and is 9-1 in conference play after an 87-49 win against Wisconsin on Thursday.
- OSU’s 39 points in the third quarter was the most in a third quarter in program history (previous high was 37 vs. Wagner on Nov. 22, 2015) and tied the program’s record for single-quarter scoring (39 vs. Bellarmine on Nov. 23, 2021) and ties for the fourth-most in a quarter in Big Ten history
- Cotie McMahon recorded her fourth-consecutive double-double (15p/10r). Jacy Sheldon (17), Eboni Walker (11) and Celeste Taylor (10) also scored in double figures. The Buckeyes tied their season-high 24 assists as a team.
- No. 10/9 Indiana enters the game with an 18-2 overall record and a 9-1 mark in Big Ten play. The Hoosiers are riding a four-game win streak.
- IU’s only conference loss is to Iowa. The Hoosiers hold B1G wins against Rutgers, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State, Minnesota, Purdue, Northwestern and Maryland.
- All five of Indiana’s starters average double figures. Mackenzie Holmes leads the way with 20.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg, ranking second in scoring and seventh in rebounding in the Big Ten.
- Ohio State leads 57-26 in the all-time series against Indiana and is 32-7 against the Hoosiers when playing in Columbus.
- The teams faced each other three times last season. Indiana took the two meetings during the regular season, winning 78-65 in Bloomington on Jan. 26 and 83-59 in Columbus on Feb. 13. Ohio State snapped a five-game losing streak against Indiana with a 79-75 win in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals on March 4.
