Ohio State is coming off a rout of Wisconsin, 87-49, for its eighth-consecutive win on Thursday night. Four players scored in double figures behind leading scorer graduate student guard Jacy Sheldon’s 17 points (17.5 ppg.) as OSU shot 50 percent from the floor and included a 39-point third quarter. Sophomore guard Cotie McMahon also averages double figures for the Buckeyes (13.9 ppg.) and a team-high in rebounds (6.3 rpg.).

  • Indiana won for the first time ever in College Park as it defeated Maryland 87-73 on Wednesday night. Graduate student forward Mackenzie Holmes recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
  • While the Hoosiers trail in the all-time series, they have won five of its last six against the Buckeyes dating back to the 2020-21 season. They have also won the last three inside the Schottenstein Center.
  • The Hoosiers continue to shoot the ball at a high level at 51.5 percent for the season, which ranks third in the NCAA and leads the Big Ten. They are 11-0 when shooting 50 percent or higher as graduate student forward Mackenzie Holmes ranks fourth nationally in field goal percentage (66.8 percent).
  • Adding four more triples to her season total, senior guard Sara Scalia moves into the top 10 in a single season for three pointers made. The Stillwater, Minn. native has connected on 63 and is on pace to break Amanda Cahill’s record of 78 makes (2017-18) as she averages 3.1 per game (seventh nationally).
  • Holmes inches closes in on taking over the top spot in scoring the IU history books. She enters Sunday’s game just 58 points shy of Tyra Buss’s (2014-18) record of 2,364 points. Through her five seasons, the Gorham, Maine native has collected 2,306 points and is only the second player to score over 2,000 points in her IU career.
