Lionel Messi weaves his magic in winning debut; scores on free kick late to power Inter Miami CF in Leagues Cup Match

Inter Miami CF earned a 1-2 win over Cruz Azul in its inaugural Leagues Cup match. The team was guided to the historic victory by Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, who scored a 94th minute free kick winner to cap a storybook debut in front of a sellout crowd at DRV PNK Stadium.

Inter Miami will return to action on Tuesday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. ET when the team hosts Atlanta United at DRV PNK Stadium for the team’s final Group Stage match of Leagues Cup.
