Matt McClain has solidified the Reds shortstop position with his field and stats: .305 average, with 7 homers and 28 RBI.

A very exciting and gritty team, the Reds have played themselves into first place in the NL Central and are very much 2023 playoff contenders.

They lead the tough NL Central Division with a record of 47-39, lead Milwaukee by a game and for a very young team, are a shocking 24-18 on the road.

At one point, the team was 29-35 and won 12 games in a row to shock the baseball world.
