New England Revolution News: Top 4 Aerial Attack Team in MLS

New England’s attack has taken on a new look this season with the Revolution looking to establish their aerial dominance on both ends of the
field. With playmaking fullbacks Brandon Bye and DeJuan Jones providing service, alongside reigning MLS MVP Carles Gil, New England
has shown the potential to exploit opponents with the aerial advantage.
New England ranks first in MLS this season in crosses attempted (496),
successful crosses (133), and headed shots on target (27). New England’s
crossing accuracy from open play ranks among top MLS teams this season:

The Revolution’s aerial success has been catalyzed by having three of
the league’s top-25 players for crosses (including corners) in MLS this
season — Gil (3rd, 169), Bye (13th, 94), and Jones (T-25th, 73).
The trio ranks among the top four in MLS in crosses attempted from open
play as well, with Bye (94) atop the league and Jones (73) and Gil (77)
ranked tied for fourth and second, respectively. Bye also leads the league
with 27 successful crosses from open play, while Gil (22) ranks second.
