Former Blue Jackets forward Kevin Stenlund lands with Winnipeg Jets

WINNIPEG, July 13, 2022 – The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with forward Kevin Stenlund on a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value in the NHL of $750,000.

Stenlund, 25, played three games for the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2021-22 and had two penalty minutes. The Stockholm, Sweden native also played 42 games for their AHL affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters, and recorded 25 points (8G, 17A) and 20 PIMs.

Stenlund, Columbus’ second round pick (58th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft, has played 71 games for the Blue Jackets over the last four seasons and posted 20 points (11G, 9A) and 22 PIMs. He featured in two playoff games for Columbus in 2019-20 and scored a goal. Stenlund has also played 141 career AHL games and has 70 points (29G, 41A) and 60 PIMs.
