CHICAGO (June 9, 2022) – The National Women’s Soccer League announced today that San Diego Wave FC forward Alex Morgan has been named the Player of the Month for the month of May by the NWSL Media Association.

Leading the league in scoring with six tallies during the month, Morgan became the third player in the NWSL history to score a record four times in a game when she notched a quartet of goals in San Diego’s 4-0 rout of NJ/NY Gotham FC.

A crucial piece of the Wave offense, Morgan also scored the game-winning goal in San Diego’s 2-1 win over Chicago, and the lone goal in the team’s 1-0 win over North Carolina.

Morgan’s offensive play has helped the Wave to the top spot in the NWSL Standings through the month of May.

The NWSL Player of the Month is selected each month of the regular season by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league on a consistent basis.

Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.
