Xavier Musketeers Men’s Basketball News: Jack Nunge Earns Postseason BIG EAST Conference Honor

Nunge leads Xavier in scoring and is second in rebounding

CINCINNATI — Xavier University junior Jack Nunge has been named All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention by the league coaches. Nunge is the lone Musketeer who earned a league postseason honor this year.
 
Nunge leads Xavier in scoring at 13.1 ppg. (18th in the BIG EAST) and blocks at 1.4 bpg. (ninth in the BIG EAST), while ranking second in rebounding at 7.5 rpg. (10th in the BIG EAST). In addition, Nunge is 12th in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage at 73.2 percent. He recorded his team-high 19th double-figure scoring game of the season vs. Georgetown on Saturday with 16 points to go with a team-high nine rebounds.
 
Recently Nunge was named to the 2021-22 CoSIDA Academic All-District® First Team for District 5, a district that covers Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Nunge currently holds a 3.94 G.P.A. in the M.B.A. program.
