Columbus Blue Jackets News: ASSIGNS RIGHT WING TREY FIX-WOLANSKY TO AHL’S CLEVELAND MONSTERS

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned right wing Trey Fix-Wolansky to the Cleveland Monsters, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Fix-Wolansky, 22, has recorded one goal and one assist for two points with five shots in six games with the Blue Jackets this season.  He scored a goal in his NHL debut on February 8 at Washington (Pheonix Copley) and added his first career assist two days later at Buffalo.  

The Edmonton, Alberta native has added 11-11-12 with 27 PIM, one power play goal, three GWG and 87 shots in 32 appearances with the Monsters this season.  He has racked up 27-30-57 with 61 PIM, 10 PPG, seven GWG and 201 shots in 84 regular season AHL contests with Cleveland since making his professional debut in the 2019 Calder Cup playoffs.  The 5-7, 186-pound forward was selected by Columbus in the seventh round, 204th overall, at the 2017 NHL Draft.
