Nunge is now eligible for the Academic All-America® national ballot
CINCINNATI — Xavier University junior Jack Nunge has been named 2021-22 CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-District®. District 5 covers all Division I programs in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Nunge, who has recorded three straight 22-point games, leads the team in scoring at 13.5 ppg. and in blocks at 1.5 bpg. He is second in rebounding at 7.2 rpg. Nunge currently holds a 3.94 G.P.A. in the M.B.A. program. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a 3.35 G.P.A. and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
The 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First-Team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
