The Blue Jackets won for the fourth time in the last five games (4-1-0) with a 4-3 overtime win at Buffalo on Thursday… Columbus has scored four-plus goals in each of the last five games (24 goals total), ranking second in the NHL in scoring since Jan. 27 (4.80 avg).  It’s the third time in franchise history that the club has scored four-plus goal in five consecutive games (Mar. 27-Apr. 5, 2018 and Mar. 24-31, 2019). The 24 goals are tied for the second-most over a five-game stretch in club history, trailing only 25 goals scored from Mar. 27-Apr. 5, 2018… CBJ have scored three or more goals in 27 of their 45 games this season (20-7-0)… The club in 18-3-0 when scoring four-plus goals in a game in 2021-22… The Jackets, who have won five of their last six road games, including four-straight, continue a post All-Star break five-game road trip on Saturday at Montreal.  The club also plays at Calgary (Tuesday) and Chicago (Thursday)… Columbus killed off Buffalo’s lone power play opportunity on Thursday and has killed off 37-of-42 opponent chances over the last 13 games (88.1 pct.).  The club ranks fourth in the NHL in penalty kill pct. since January 8… CBJ lead the NHL in win percentage in OT/SO and are one off the League lead in wins with a 8-0-1 record (.889)… The Blue Jackets have trailed in 14 of their 22 victories this season after trailing in each of the last four wins.  The club has trailed by multiple goals in each of its last two games to start the road trip (five multi-goal comeback wins this season)… The team’s six wins when trailing heading into the third period are tied with Florida for the League lead.


Max Domi recorded his fourth multi-point effort of the season with two assists on Tuesday and has 0-4-4 in the last six outings… RW Trey Fix-Wolansky scored in his NHL debut on Tuesday and added his first career assist on Thursday… C Brendan Gaunce made his CBJ debut on Tuesday and notched his first NHL goal since Oct. 31, 2018 on Thursday at Buffalo… C Boone Jenner has points in two consecutive games (1-2-3) and has recorded 7-6-13 with three multi-point efforts in the last 13 contests.  He leads the club in goals, points and power play goals with 19-14-33 and six PPG in 45 appearances and is on pace to set single-season career highs in both goals and points (30-19-49 in 82 GP in 2015-16)… LW Patrik Laine posted an assist on Thursday to stretch his points streak to five-straight (6-4-10).  He kicked off the stretch with a multi-assist game before recording multiple goals in three-straight outings from Jan. 30-Feb. 8… LW Gus Nyquist collected points in four consecutive games (2-4-6) prior to Thursday’s game.  He leads the club in goals, assists and points since Dec. 16 with 8-9-17 with six multi-point outings in the last 18 games… D Andrew Peeke has played 21-plus minutes in each of the last 11 games (avg. 24:24)… C Jack Roslovic has recorded points in four-straight contests (2-2-4) after posting his eighth goal of the campaign at Buffalo on Thursday… RW Jakub Voracek notched his 12th career overtime winner and added an assist for his seventh multi-point effort on Thursday.  He ranks fifth-T in the NHL in primary assists (23) and leads the club in assists overall (29)… Playing in his second NHL All-Star Game last Saturday, D Zach Werenski helped the Metropolitan Division win the 2022 event.  The blueliner, who has 0-5-5 in his last seven games, ranks fifth in the NHL in TOI/GP (26:04).
