Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week – Brian Roberts, Jr., Allegheny
Allegheny men’s basketball senior Brian Roberts, Jr. (Copley, OH/Copley) led the Gators to a pair of conference victories last week against Oberlin and Kenyon. On Wednesday against the Yeomen, the senior posted 30 points on 7-of-11 shooting (63.6%), including five rebounds, two assists and two steals. He also netted 30 points against the Lords, while collecting five rebounds, six assists and two steals in the game.

Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week – Katie Orefice, Kenyon
Kenyon junior Katie Orefice (Weston, CT/Weston) helped the Ladies to conference victories last week against Hiram and Allegheny. The junior began the week with a 21-point performance against the Terriers, while also chipping in six rebounds, collecting five steals and dishing out an assist. Against the Gators, she tallied another 21 points, while adding nine rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week – Trey Ike, Denison
Denison junior Trey Ike (Horseheads, NY/The Peddie School) had a hand in three of the Big Red’s six event victories against Cleveland State and Gannon on Saturday. Ike tallied individual victories in the men’s 50 freestyle (20.84) and 100 freestyle (46.29) events, while also helping the Denison 200 free relay team to a victory in 1:23.27 seconds.

Women’s Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week – Ania Axas, Kenyon
Kenyon junior Ania Axas (Ludlow, MA/Wilbraham. & Monson Academy) helped the Ladies to a pair of victories over Case Western and Ohio Northern in a double-dual meet on Saturday. Axas touched first in the 200-yard butterfly with a 2021-22 conference-leading time of 2:07.07, while also recording a victory in the 100 butterfly in 58.3 seconds.

Men’s Sprints & Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Matthew Drovdlic, Wittenberg
Wittenberg sophomore Matthew Drovdlic (Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Bradley) was part of two victories and a new school record this past weekend at the Wooster Fighting Scots Invitational. Drovdlic finished first among 37 entrants in the 60-meter dash, timing in at 7.17 seconds, while also helping the Tiger 4×200 relay team to a first-place finish in 1:31.06, a new program record time. The sophomore also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 23.36 seconds.

Men’s Distance/Middle Distance Athlete of the Week – Ethan Pine, Wabash
Wabash senior Ethan Pine (Greenwood, IN/Greenwood) recorded the NCAC’s fastest time of the season in the mile run at the Indianapolis Fast Track Classic on Saturday. Pine clocked in at 4:21.47, which is also a top-50 time in Division III so far this season.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week – Riley Orth, Kenyon
Kenyon sophomore Riley Orth (Cincinnati, OH/Anderson) won the men’s shot put event at the Wooster Fighting Scots Invitational on Saturday. Orth turned in a 14.12-meter throw, registering the best mark in the conference so far this season.

Women’s Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Erin Pasch, DePauw
DePauw senior Erin Pasch (Indianapolis, IN/Indianapolis Lutheran) was a double-winner at the Friday Night Spikes Series at Rose-Hulman. The senior won the 400-meter dash in a school-record time of 1:00.36 and registered a win in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.31 seconds. She also logged a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash after clocking in at 26.83 seconds. Both her 200 and 400 dash times are the fastest in the conference so far this season.

Women’s Distance/Middle Distance of the Week – Isabelle Hoover, Wooster
Wooster senior Isabelle Hoover (Millersport, OH/Fairfield Union) notched a win in the women’s 3,000-meter run at the Fighting Scots Invitational. Hoover timed in at 10:28.78, recording the top time in the NCAC so far this season.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week – Paula Soric, Kenyon
Kenyon freshman Paula Soric (Zadar, Croatia/Gimnazija Franje Petrica Zadar) won the women’s triple jump at the Wooster Fighting Scots Invitational. Soric’s mark of 11.13 meters set a new Kenyon program record and was tops in the conference so far this season. She also finished second in the long jump with a mark of 4.79 meters.

NCAC Milestones & Records (Jan. 17 – Jan. 23)

DePauw, Indoor Track & Field – DePauw senior Erin Pasch (Indianapolis, IN/Indianapolis Lutheran) set a program record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.36 at the Friday Night Spikes at Rose-Hulman.

Kenyon, Indoor Track & Field – At the College of Wooster Fighting Scots Invitational, Kenyon first-year Paula Soric (Zadar, Crotia/Gimnazija Franje Petrica Zadar) won the triple jump in a Kenyon record measurement of 11.13 meters.

Wabash, Men’s Basketball – Senior Jack Davidson (Fishers, IN/Hamilton Southeastern) became just the second player in Wabash College basketball history and the fifth in NCAC history to surpass the 2,000-point mark for a career on Wednesday evening. Davidson scored a game-high 23 points in the Little Giants’ victory over DePauw to give him 2,004 career points in 93 games.
Wittenberg, Indoor Track & Field – The Tiger men’s 4×200 relay team made up of Matthew Drovdlic (Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Bradley)Zeke Bennett (Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Bradley)Rashon Edwards (Cincinnati, OH/St. Edwards) and Matt Rogers (Leander, TX/Rouse) set a new school record at the Fighting Scots Invitational, clocking in at 1:31.06.
Wooster, Swimming & Diving – Wooster head coach Rob Harrington became the program’s winningest dual meet coach on Saturday. Harrington won his 254th dual meet at Wooster, surpassing Keith Beckett, who had 253 as the program’s head coach from 1984-03.
