Tulsa QB Davis Brin rewarded for huge game at Ohio State with American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll

IRVING, Texas –– The University of Tulsa quarterback Davis Brin was named to the American Athletic Conference’s weekly honor roll for his performance on Saturday against the nation’s 9th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
 
The 6’2″ Brin helped keep the Golden Hurricane within seven points of Ohio State with four minutes remaining before the Buckeyes scored two late touchdowns to take a 41-20 victory.
 
From Boerne Champion High School in the San Antonio area, Brin threw for a career-high 428 yards on career-highs of 31-of-54 passing against the Buckeyes. He had touchdown throws of 21 and 22 yards, as each of those scores cut Tulsa’s deficit to seven points in the final 15 minutes.
 
Brin’s passing performance was the 11th best in school history and marked the 19th time that Tulsa had a 400+ passer.
