Columbus Crew back home tonight taking on Seattle Sounders in 2020 MLS Cup rematch

COLUMBUS — Columbus Crew (6-8-6, 24 points) hosts Seattle Sounders FC (11-3-6, 39 points) at Field in a nationally televised contest tonight, Saturday, August 21 [5:30 p.m. ET / FOX, FOX Deportes / 97.1 The Fan & (English); (Spanish)]. Tickets for the match are available at

On Saturday, Field is set to hold Youth Soccer Night presented by OhioHealth. The first 5,000 fans ages 14 and under who enter through the southwest entrance will receive a mini-soccer ball.

Tonight’s match is a rematch of the 2020 MLS Cup, in which the Columbus Crew defeated the Sounders 3-0 at Historic Crew Stadium (December 12, 2020), capturing the Club’s second MLS Cup title (2008, 2020). Midfielder Lucas Zelarayan scored two goals and provided an assist en route to MLS Cup MVP honors, while midfielder Derrick Etienne Jr. also netted a goal in the match. In regular-season action, the two sides last met in Seattle on March 7, 2020, playing to a 1-1 draw behind a goal from forward Gyasi Zardes.
