COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets will play an eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at Nationwide Arena, prior to the 2021-22 National Hockey League season, the club announced today. Columbus will play home and road sets against the Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues. The Blue Jackets’ announcement of the club’s 2021 preseason schedule is presented by mike’s Hard Lemonade.
The Blue Jackets open preseason play with games on three consecutive days, opening at PPG Paints Arena on Monday, September 27 when they visit the Penguins before hosting the Sabres and Blues at Nationwide Arena on Tuesday, September 28 and Wednesday, September 29. The team will then play two-straight road games – at Detroit on Saturday, October 2 and Buffalo on Monday, October 4. The club will close out the preseason with three games in four nights from October 6-9, hosting Detroit on Wednesday, October 6 and visiting St. Louis on Friday, October 8 before finishing with a home contest against the Penguins on Saturday, October 9. All preseason games will start at 7 p.m. local time.
