The Colorado Rockies announced Friday that they have placed right-handed pitcher Yency Almonte, right-handed pitcher Jhoulys Chacín, outfielder Yonathan Daza and right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela on the injured list, per Major League Baseball’s COVID and contact tracing protocols.
Additionally, the Rockies have recalled left-handed pitcher Ben Bowden, outfielder Sam Hilliard and right-hander Antonio Santos from Triple-A Albuquerque, and have selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup as a replacement player.
The Rockies will also be without Manager Bud Black and First Base Coach Ron Gideon per COVID and contact tracing protocols. For tonight’s game, Bench Coach Mike Redmond will assume managerial duties and Major League Data & Game Planning Coordinator Doug Bernier will serve as the first base coach.
