SCOTTSDALE – The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Chi Chi González and have placed right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg on the 60-day injured list after undergoing a procedure to relieve blood clots in his right elbow.

Additionally, the Rockies have optioned left-handed pitcher Lucas Gilbreath and infielder Colton Welker to Triple-A Albuquerque, and have reassigned the following non-roster invitees to Minor League camp: catchers José Briceño, Chris Rabago and Brian Serven, infielders Greg Bird, Eric Stamets and Alan Trejo and outfielder Ryan Vilade.

Left-handed pitcher (1): Lucas Gilbreath*

Catchers (3): José Briceño, Chris Rabago, Brian Serven

Infielders (4): Greg Bird, Eric Stamets, Alan Trejo, Colton Welker*

Outfielder (1): Ryan Vilade

The Rockies have 30 players remaining in Major League Spring Training Camp, including two non-roster players, and a full 40-man roster.
