Minnesota Twins trim roster to 43 players

FT. MYERS, FL – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have optioned outfielder Alex Kirilloff to the alternate training site, and reassigned left-handed pitcher Charlie Barnes, catcher Caleb Hamilton, right-handed pitcher Griffin Jax, outfielder Trevor Larnach and infielder Royce Lewis to minor league camp.

Lewis (No. 1), Kirilloff (No. 2) and Larnach (No. 3) represent the top three prospects in the organization, per MLB.com. Lewis will miss the 2021 season after undergoing surgery in February to repair a torn right ACL.

The Twins currently have 43 active players in camp (14 non-roster): 22 pitchers (7 non-roster), 5 catchers (2 non-roster), 8 infielders (3 non-roster), 7 outfielders (2 non-roster) and 1 designated hitter.
