CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transaction relative to the 2021 Major League Spring Training roster:

Optioned INF NOLAN JONES, RHP JEAN CARLOS MEJÍA, RHP ELI MORGAN, LHP SCOTT MOSS and RHP CARLOS VARGAS to Triple-A Columbus.

Reassigned RHP KYLE DOWDY and OF BILLY HAMILTON to Minor League Depth Camp.

Traded INF MIKE FREEMAN to the Cincinnati Reds for cash considerations.

The Spring Training roster currently consists of 48 players.
