#21 Buckeyes play at Illinois for the first time in 4 years today

COLUMBUS, Ohio –No. 21 Ohio State (10-3, 4-3) are back in action at noon Saturday at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois vs. the Illini (9-4, 5-2). The game will be televised by Fox Sports.

GAME BASICS

·       No. 21 Ohio State and No. 14 Illinois meet on the hardwood at noon Saturday at the State Farm Center in Champaign. Fox will televise.

·       The Buckeyes evened the season series with Northwestern in Columbus Wednesday, 81-71. Duane Washington Jr. scored a career high 23 points in the win. He also had a career best six assists.   

·       Ohio State is 4-3 in the Big Ten with all three losses on the road. The Buckeyes are 3-0 in home conference games this season.

·       Chris Holtmann’s teams are 3-2 vs. Illinois. The Illini are 103-74 in the series, including a 60-26 record in Champaign and a 29-16 record at the State Farm Center.   

·       It’s Land of Lincoln week for the Buckeyes with the 81-71 home win vs. Northwestern Wednesday and the noon road contest at Illinois (Champaign) Saturday. It will be 1,477 days (4 yrs, 16 days) since the Buckeyes last played in Champaign (Jan. 1, 2017).

·       All-time, the Buckeyes are 107-112 (.489) when playing in the state of Illinois.
