COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State scored 24 unanswered points in the second half to pull away from visiting Ohio on Saturday night, 37-9. The Buckeyes are now 3-0 on the season and will have a bye week next week before opening Big Ten play at Washington on Sept. 27.

Fellow sophomore Julian Sayin was 25-of-32 for 347 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with eight different receivers as Carnell Tate joined Smith with his second 100-yard receiving game of his career. On the ground, freshman Bo Jackson topped 100 yards on less than 10 carries for the second consecutive game. He finished with 109 yards on nine carries with a long of 64. The Buckeyes had 572 yards of total offense and weren’t forced to punt all night, the first time that happened in a game since 2021.
