• The Rockies announced yesterday that Manager Bud Black and Bench Coach Mike Redmond were relieved
of their duties … current Third Base Coach Warren Schaeffer has been named the interim manager through
the end of the 2025 season and current Hitting Coach Clint Hurdle has been named the interim bench coach.
• Schaeffer, 40, becomes the eighth manager in franchise history … he has served as the club’s third base
and infield coach since the 2023 season … prior to joining the Major League club, the 40-year-old spent
10 seasons as a manager and coach in the Rockies Minor League system, managing across three levels from
2015-22 … most recently managed Triple-A Albuquerque in the 2021 and 2022 seasons … began his coaching
career in 2013 after six seasons in the Rockies Minor League system.
• Additionally, current Rockies Minor League Hitting Coordinator Nic Wilson and current Albuquerque Hitting
Coach Jordan Pacheco have been elevated to co-hitting coaches … current Assistant Hitting Coach Andy
González has been moved to third base.
