Today’s Pole position will be manned by 24-year Zane Smith, a Huntington Beach, California native who convincingly claimed the first pole position of his young NASCAR Cup Series career.
Smith will lead the field to the green flag in today’s Jack Link’s 500 (3 p.m. ET, FOX, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) NASCAR’s largest track with two-time series champion Kyle Busch starting in the 2nd position.
Smith earned his first pole position with a lap of 182.174 mph in his No. 38 Front Row Motorsports, TitleMax Ford Mustang.
