He originally was selected by the Blue Jays in the fourth round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Auburn University. Palacios will wear uniform No. 47.

Narváez, 33, appeared in three games with Birmingham in 2025, going 2-8 (.250) with a double and two RBI. He was the starting catcher for both the season debuts of left-handed pitchers Noah Schultz (April 4) and Hagen Smith (April 5).

Tauchman, 34, re-injured his hamstring attempting to score the game-tying run in the ninth inning of last night’s 3-2 loss. He is 4-10 with two walks and a run scored in three games with the White Sox after beginning the season on the 10-day injured list.

Carela, 23, underwent successful Tommy John surgery in March.

Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster is at 40.
