  • Columbus (1-2-0) finished the season series against New Jersey (2-1-0) following tonight’s regulation loss.
  • CBJ moved to 8-4-1 in the last 13 home games in 2024-25.  The team has recorded points in 15 of the past 20 home contests (12-5-3) as well as 20 of the last 26 played at home (16-6-4).
  • The club has recorded 214 goals (not including SO goals) through 67 games this season.  It’s the second-most in franchise history through 67 games played, one-shy of the 215 scored in the 2021-22 season.
  • The club posted 24 shots on goal in the third period, the most in a single frame this season (22 in the 2nd period, Nov. 21 vs. TBL).  It was also one shy of the club record for most shots in a single period at home (25, 2nd period on Jan. 15, 2024 vs. Vancouver).
  • Tonight’s attendance was 16,708.

 

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES 

  • LW Zach Aston-Reese (4-11-15, 66 GP) added the secondary helper on Olivier’s goal and is now five points from 100 for his NHL career (46-49-95, 376 GP).
  • Justin Danforth (7-9-16, 46 GP) collected an assist and has picked up 2-2-4 in the past eight contests.
  • RW Mathieu Olivier (16-10-26, 67 GP) scored Columbus’ lone goal to give him 4-1-5 in his last five games as well as 6-2-8 in his past 10 contests.  He posted two hits for his 249th and 250th of this season to pass C Brandon Dubinsky (248, in 2016-17) for the most in a single season in franchise history (stat kept since 2005-06).  He registered points in all three games of the season series against New Jersey (3-1-4), including three goals over seven-day span (2-0-2 at NJD on Mar. 11).
