Musketeers are looking for their sixth-straight win.
CINCINNATI — The Xavier University Musketeers, 19-10 overall and 11-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, visit the Butler University Bulldogs, 13-16 overall and 6-12 in the BIG EAST, on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Xavier is shooting for its sixth-straight win and its 20th win overall.
Xavier won the first meeting with Butler 76-63 on February 18 at Cintas Center and leads the all-time series 49-27.

• Xavier won its fifth-straight game with an 83-61 win over Creighton on Saturday, earning NCAA March Madness (@MarchMadnessMBB) Team of the Week honors.
• Xavier, 19-10 overall, needs one victory to secure its sixth 20-win season in eight seasons under Sean Miller
. XU won 27 games in the 2022-23 NCAA Sweet 16 season.
• Xavier graduate student Zach Freemantle earned his fourth BIG EAST weekly award of the season on March 3 after leading Xavier with 23 points, hitting 10-14 from the field, to go with six rebounds and three assists in the Creighton win. Freemantle was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the third time. He has also earned a Player of the Week honor this season.
• Xavier’s Zach Freemantle leads the team in scoring (fifth in the BIG EAST at 16.8 ppg.) and rebounding (fifth in the BIG EAST at 7.1 rpg.). He is 13th on XU’s all-time scoring list (1,665 points) and is 10th on the all-time rebounding list (860 rebounds).
• Xavier junior Ryan Conwell is second on the team and ninth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 15.8 ppg. Conwell ranks third in the BIG EAST in 3-point percentage at .399 and fourth in 3-point field goals made at 2.8 per game.
• Xavier sophomore Dailyn Swain has averaged 11.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in BIG EAST play. Swain contributed 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a career-high six steals in the Butler win on Feb. 18.
• Xavier graduate student Dante Maddox Jr. who hit 3-4 3-pointers on his way to 16 points in Saturday’s Creighton win, is shooting .478 (32-67) from 3-point range in BIG EAST play.
• Xavier graduate student Dayvion McKnight leads XU in assists at 4.5 apg. (eighth in the BIG EAST) and is third in the BIG EAST and 34th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.65.
• Xavier is second in the BIG EAST and eighth in the nation in free throw percentage at .790,
including 88-105 (.838) during the current five-game win streak. XU has three players ranked in the top 10 in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage: Dailyn Swain (fourth at .820), Ryan Conwell (fifth at .818) and Zach Freemantle
(ninth at .759).
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST in fastbreak points (ninth in the nation in at 15.6 ppg.) and is second in free throw percentage (eighth in the nation at .790) and 3-point percentage (ninth in the nation at .387). Xavier is third in the BIG EAST in assists per game (21st in the nation at 16.9 apg.) and assist-to-turnover ratio (39th in the nation at 1.47).
