Musketeers are looking for their fifth-straight win.

 

CINCINNATI – Xavier Athletics has officially announced a sell out for the men’s basketball game against Creighton this Saturday, March 1.  Tickets are still available through SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket partner of Xavier Athletics.

In addition, inventory is limited for the final regular season home game against Providence on Saturday, March 8 at 4 p.m.  Tickets for this game, including limited lower-level student section bleacher seats, are available for purchase at GoXavier.com.

 

CINCINNATI — The Xavier University Musketeers, 18-10 overall and 10-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the Creighton University Bluejays, 20-8 overall and 13-4 in the BIG EAST, on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Cintas Center. Creighton is ranked 25th in this week’s USA Today Coaches Poll and is first “among others receiving votes” in the AP Top 25.

Xavier, which is asking fans to wear white for a White Out, is seeking its fifth-straight victory.

• Xavier won its fourth-straight game at Seton Hall on Sunday.
• Xavier is second in the BIG EAST and seventh in the nation in free throw percentage at .790,
including 82-97 (.845) during the current four-game win streak. XU has four players ranked in the top 15 in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage: Ryan Conwell

(fourth at .822), Dailyn Swain (fifth at .820), Dayvion McKnight (ninth at .780) and Zach Freemantle (11th at .757).
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST in fastbreak points (10th in the nation in at 15.6 ppg.) and is second in free throw percentage (seventh in the nation at .790) and 3-point percentage (17th in the nation at .383). Xavier is third in the BIG EAST in assists per game (30th in the nation at 16.6 apg.).
• Junior Ryan Conwell was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the third time this season on Feb. 24. Conwell averaged 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a pair of wins last week vs. Butler and at Seton Hall.
• Xavier junior Ryan Conwell is second on the team and ninth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 15.7 ppg. Conwell ranks third in the BIG EAST in 3-point percentage at .391 and fourth in 3-point field goals made at 2.8 per game.
• Xavier’s Zach Freemantle leads the team in scoring (sixth in the BIG EAST at 16.6 ppg.) and rebounding (fourth in the BIG EAST at 7.1 rpg.) and has scored in double figures in every game he has played this season (25). Freemantle is 13th on XU’s all-time scoring list (1,642 points) and is 10th on the all-time rebounding list (854 rebounds).
• Xavier sophomore Dailyn Swain has averaged 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game over the last 10 games. Swain contributed 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a career-high six steals in the Butler win on Feb. 18.
• Xavier graduate student Dante Maddox Jr. tied his collegiate highs for points (26) and 3-point field goals (six) in the win at Providence on Feb. 12, his third 20-point game of the season.
• Xavier graduate student Marcus Foster

, who is third on the team in rebounding (4.7 rpg.), has snagged 6.0 rpg. over the last 10 games.
• Xavier graduate student Dayvion McKnight leads XU in assists at 4.5 apg. (eighth in the BIG EAST) and is third in the BIG EAST and 37th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.59.
