Cleveland, OH-Senior Chase Robinson has earned a spot on the Horizon League Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team, the league office announced today. Robinson joins four other men’s basketball student-athletes who earned spots on the team. Recipients of the award must have been at their respective institution for at least one full year, have at least a 3.2 GPA and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team’s regular season games.

Robinson, a senior from Matteson, Illinois, holds a 3.4 cumulative GPA as a mathematics major. He has been named to the Dean’s List twice and has also been named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll two times. Robinson is a member of the team’s leadership council and sets a great example for his teammates to follow both on and off the court.

On the court Robinson has played a pivotal role in helping the Vikings to a 19-10 overall record and 13 wins in conference play. Robinson averages 8.9 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game. He leads the team with 42 steals and is second on the team with 64 assists.

This marks the second consecutive season that Cleveland State has been represented on the league’s all-academic team after Tristan Enaruna was named to the team last season. Cleveland State registered one of its highest semester GPA’s in program history, and the highest under head coach Daniyal Robinson, with a 3.47 GPA in the Fall 2024 semester.
