Musketeers have won three-straight games.

 

CINCINNATI — The Xavier University Musketeers, 17-10 overall and 9-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, visit the Seton Hall University Pirates, 7-19 overall and 2-13 in the BIG EAST, on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Xavier comes into the game with a three-game win streak. SHU won the last game it played at Prudential Center, 69-68 over UConn in overtime on Feb. 15.

Xavier graduate student Zach Freemantle, a native of Teaneck, N.J., is XU’s leading scorer (sixth in the BIG EAST at 16.8 ppg.) and rebounder (fifth in the BIG EAST at 7.1 rpg.).

• Xavier has four players averaging in double figures in scoring: Zach Freemantle 

(16.8 ppg.), Ryan Conwell (15.4 ppg.), Dailyn Swain (10.5 ppg.) and Dayvion McKnight (10.0 ppg.).
• Xavier is second in the BIG EAST and ninth in the nation in free throw percentage at .792, including 57-64 (.891) during the current three-game win streak. XU has four players ranked in the top 10 in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage: Dailyn Swain (fourth at .830), Ryan Conwell (sixth at .808), Dayvion McKnight (eighth at .793) and Zach Freemantle (10th at .764).
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST in fastbreak points (ninth in the nation in at 15.9 ppg.) and is second in free throw percentage (ninth in the nation at .792) and 3-point percentage (14th in the nation at .383). Xavier is third in the BIG EAST in assist-to-turnover ratio (39th in the nation at 1.46) and assists per game (29th in the nation at 16.7 apg.).
• Xavier graduate student and Teaneck, N.J., native Zach Freemantle was named BIG EAST Player of the Week after averaging 21.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in a pair of wins at Providence and vs. DePaul. He had previously been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll twice this season.
• Xavier’s Zach Freemantle leads the team in scoring (sixth in the BIG EAST at 16.8 ppg.) and rebounding (fifth in the BIG EAST at 7.1 rpg.) and has scored in double figures in every game he has played this season (24). Freemantle is tied for 14th on XU’s all-time scoring list (1,631 points) and is 10th on the all-time rebounding list (847 rebounds).
• Xavier sophomore Dailyn Swain, who has scored in double figures in eight of the last nine games, has averaged 13.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game over the last nine games. Swain contributed 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a career-high six steals vs. Butler on Feb. 18.
• Xavier junior Ryan Conwell

is second on the team and 10th in the BIG EAST in scoring at 15.4 ppg. Conwell ranks fourth in the BIG EAST at 2.7 3-point field goals made per game and third in 3-point percentage at .382.
• Xavier graduate student Dante Maddox Jr. tied his collegiate highs for points (26) and 3-point field goals (six) in the win at Providence on Feb. 12, his third 20-point game of the season.
• Xavier graduate student Marcus Foster, who is third on the team in rebounding (4.7 rpg.), has snagged 6.2 rpg. over the last nine games.
• Xavier graduate student Dayvion McKnight leads XU in assists at 4.4 apg. (eighth in the BIG EAST) and is second in the BIG EAST and 31st in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.67.
