Wright State Raiders spending weekend in Wisconsin with Milwaukee (Tonight) and Green Bay (Sunday) on the Horizon

DAYTON – The Wright State men’s basketball team hits the road for its longest road trip of the conference season this weekend, beginning Friday night as the Raiders trek to take on Milwaukee in an 8 p.m. ET tipoff. Fans can follow the action several ways – via live stats, by watching on ESPN+ or by tuning in to the home for Raider Basketball 101.5 HANK FM and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Justin Kinner will have all the play-by-play on the radio feed.

Fans can tune into 101.5 HANK FM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. LAST TIME OUT
Brandon Noel tallied his fourth double-double in the last five games to pace four Raiders with double figure scoring nights as Wright State rolled to a 91-73 Homecoming victory over IU Indy inside the Nutter Center on Saturday night. Noel notched 26 points and 16 rebounds, both game highs, while Keaton Norris continued his double-digit hot streak, tallying 17 points, as Solomon Callaghan and Jack Doumbia each finished with 12 points.

DOUBLING UP NOEL
Brandon Noel has tallied double-doubles in four of the last five games and enters the weekend with eight double-double games this season. He’s currently just shy of a double-double average for the season with his 18.9 points/game and 8.1 rebounds/game marks. Noel has recorded 20-plus points 14 times this season and currently has 27 such games in his career. He has recorded double-digits scoring in 22 of 26 games this season. In addition to the double-doubles, Noel has four more games where he finished with nine boards.

TOO MANY CLOSE CALLS
Wright State enters the weekend with six losses by one possession or in overtime, the second-most in the country behind UT Martin’s eight. The Raiders have four such losses in conference play, second again to UT Martin (six), while Wright State is third nationally with seven total games played that were one possession or OT contests (UT Martin 12, North Carolina 11).

MILWAUKEE MATCHUP
Wright State and Milwaukee have met 74 times previously, with the Raiders holding a 39-35 lead over Milwaukee in the series, including wins in 10 of the last 15 meetings. The first meeting came back on Jan. 17, 1977 in Milwaukee, a 75-66 Panther win. The first Wright State home game was the following year – a 71-69 Raider win on Feb. 13, 1978.

PANTHER POINTS
– Milwaukee is 16-9 overall with a 9-5 Horizon League mark, entering Friday coming off a road loss at Cleveland State last Saturday. Milwaukee is 9-2 at home to date.
– Five Milwaukee players are averaging double-digits scoring, paced by Themus Fulks at 14.5 points/game, while Jamichael Stillwell is averaging a double-double at 13.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

HUIBREGTSE HOMECOMING
Wisconsin native Alex Huibregtse will play in his home state of Wisconsin this weekend for the third straight season. In the two Wisconsin games last year, Huibregtse finished with 18 total points (7.33 per/game) and shot 40 percent overall (6-of-15) and 57 percent (4-of-7) from deep, adding five rebounds, two assists and two steals in a combined 57 minutes of action. Grafton, WI is just 20 miles from Panther Arena in Milwaukee and an hour and a half from Green Bay, with Huibregtse expecting fans in both locations. Huibregtse was a Wisconsin First Team All-State selection in Division 2 as a senior after averaging 24.2 points per game while shooting 47.3 percent from three-point range.
