ATHENS, Ohio — The Ohio men’s basketball team (12-11, 6-4 MAC) is back on the road on Tuesday, Feb. 11 when they head to Bowling Green, Ohio to take on Bowling Green (9-14, 3-7 MAC). Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Stroh Center. The game can be seen on ESPN+.

The Bobcats’ matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Jason Toy begins his first season on the mic for the Bobcats, and will be joined by Ohio alum Rob Cornelius, who has been a part of the broadcasts for two decades. WXTQ (Power 105) in Athens returns as the 11-station net- work’s flagship.

STORYLINES
• This is the 157th all-time meeting between Ohio and Bowling Green.
• Bowling Green leads the all-time series, 84-72.
• Ohio is 11-14 against Bowling Green since 2011-12, while the Bobcats are 3-6 against the Falcons under Jeff Boals.
• Ohio and BGSU last met on March 1, 2024 in Athens, with Ohio winning, 66-59.
• Ohio and BGSU met twice last season, with Ohio falling on the road before defeating the Falcons in Athens.
• Ohio has not defeated the Falcons in the Stroh Center since Jan. 28, 2017.
• Against Toledo on Jan. 28, AJ Brown and Jackson Paveletzke both scored 22 points, with Brown recording a career-high with eight rebounds.
• Ohio win over Kent State on Jan. 24 is the third-straight wins for the Bobcats over the Flashes. It is the first time since Jan. 26, 2013-Jan. 8, 2014 that Ohio has won three-straight over Kent State.

• AJ Clayton scored his 1,000the career point on Jan. 11 against NIU.
• Senior forward AJ Clayton had a 31-point performance on Jan. 11 against NIU. Clayton hit a career-high nine threes in the victory.

SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green enters the matchup against Ohio with a 9-14 overall record and a 3-7 mark in MAC play and are coming off a win over Coastal Carolina on Saturday.

BGSU averages 75.1 points a game, while shooting .439 from the field, .342 from three and .756 from the line, while opponents are averaging 75.3 points per game, while shooting .456 from the field, .325 from three and .785 from the line.

BGSU averages 33.7 rebounds, 11.4 assists, 7.9 steals and 3.2 blocks a game, while forcing 13.2 turnovers a game. Meanwhile, BGSU opponents average 35.5 rebounds, 13.2 assists, 6.2 steals and 4.2 blocks a game, while forcing the Falcons to turn the ball over an average of 11.9 times a contest.

Individually, Marcus Johnson leads the Falcons with 16.7 points and 5.1 rebounds a game, while shooting .450 from the field and .897 from the line. Javontae Campbell adds 13.4 points and 4.0 rebounds a came, while shooting .483 from the field, while Derrick butler averages 13.8 points and is shooting .426 from the field.

Ohio is currently 12-11 overall and 6-4 in MAC play after falling to App State on Saturday in Athens.

Ohio is averaging 79.6 points per game, while shooting .471 from the field, .353 from three and .762 from the line, while opponents are averaging 75.0 points per game, while shooting .450 from the field, .378 from three and .674 from the line.

Ohio is averaging 34.1 rebounds, 14.4 assists, 3.4 blocks and 7.3 steals per game, while forcing 13.2 turnovers a contest. Meanwhile, opponents are averaging 35.3 rebounds, 13.4 assists, 3.1 blocks and 6.9 steals per game, while forcing Ohio to turn the ball over 11.5 times a game.
