Cambridge averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game last week in OSU’s pair of wins.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday. Freshman guard Jaloni Cambridge was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week and to the Big Ten Honor Roll following her play at No. 25 Michigan and against Oregon this past week.
Cambridge led the Buckeyes to a pair of wins last week. She averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in the games against Michigan and Oregon. In the road win at No. 25 Michigan, Cambridge led the game with 29 points, matched her career-high six rebounds and added four assists and a steal. Cambridge shot 11-of-23 (.478) from the floor and finished just two points shy of her career-high and one made field goal shy of her career-high. In the home win against Oregon, Cambridge finished with 13 points, four rebounds and a steal in just over 20 minutes played.
This season, Cambridge is averaging 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game with nine games in double figures and three 20-point performances (two this month). She’s in the top five in the Big Ten in steals/game, top 10 in assists/game and top 20 in scoring, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and assist/turnover ratio.
