From Orlando is the Pop Tarts Bowl with the Two nationally ranked teams, Miami Hurricanes taking on Iowa State, 3:30 PM

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Miami Hurricanes football program announced Sunday that it has accepted a bid to the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl.

Miami will take on Iowa State at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. on Dec. 28. The game will be broadcast at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.

“We are excited to accept an invitation to the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl,” Vice President/Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich said. “Florida Citrus Sports is an outstanding host and always puts on a terrific show. I know our student-athletes and fans will enjoy their bowl experience in Orlando.”

Miami is set to play in its 46th bowl game in school history. The Hurricanes own a 20-25 record in its previous postseason contests.

The 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl will mark the first-ever meeting between Miami and Iowa State on the gridiron.

The Hurricanes are making their fifth bowl appearance in Orlando since 2009. Most recently, Miami faced Oklahoma State in the 2020 Cheez-It Bowl at Camping World Stadium.

AMES, Iowa – The No. 18 Iowa State football team (10-3, 7-2 Big 12) will face No. 15 Miami (10-2, 6-2 ACC) in the Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando, Florida after accepting an invitation today from Florida Citrus Sports. It will be Iowa State’s seventh bowl appearance in the last eight seasons and the 19th bowl appearance in school history.

The Cyclones and Hurricanes will meet for the first time on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 2:30 p.m. (CT) at Camping World Stadium. ABC will broadcast the game.

Iowa State tied for first place in the Big 12 Conference before falling to Arizona State in Saturday’s Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship game. The Cyclones have won 10 games for the first time in the program’s 133-year history and compiled a 7-2 record in Big 12 Conference play.

This will be ISU’s third appearance in a bowl game at Camping World Stadium.

Iowa State owns a 5-13 all-time record in bowl games. Ninth-year head coach Matt Campbell has the most bowl appearances among ISU skippers as the Cyclones head to the seventh bowl game of his tenure.
