SUNDAY: Miami returns home to face off with the Bethany Bison Sunday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. This will count as an exhibition game for the Bison who compete at the Division III level.

ABOUT BETHANY: Bethany is coming off of a 9-17 (8-12 PAC) season in 2023-24. Head coach Brad Johnson is in his second season with the Bison. Heading into the 2024-25 season, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference coaches picked the Bison to finish seventh in the preseason poll.

Bethany is currently 5-4 (0-4 PAC), as the team is currently on a four-game losing streak. In the team’s one matchup with a Division I opponent, they fell 60-128 to Youngstown State in what was an exhibition game for the Bison. Five different players are averaging double figures for the Bison which includes Cole Dailey (16.6), Ryan Reasbeck (16.2), Jess Roller (15.6), Troy Hixson (11.8) and Will Brooks (11.4). Brooks leads the team in assists per game (2.9) and steals per game (2.2). Dailey heads the team in rebounds per game (9.8) and blocks per game (3.9). Dailey ranks first in total blocks and second in blocks per game among all Division III players.

THE SERIES WITH THE BISON: Sunday will mark the first time Miami and Bethany have faced off. This will be the first time this season that the RedHawks will take on an opponent who does not compete at the Division I level.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks head east to battle with Vermont Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
