COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State junior point guard Bruce Thornton has been named to the 10-member preseason All-Big Ten Team.
Thornton is coming off an All-Big Ten season that saw him lead the team in scoring at 15.7 ppg, assists at 4.8 apg, steals at 1.2 spg and minutes played at 33.6 mpg. His 4.0 assist-to-turnover ratio was second-best in the country and he became just the third player in program history with more than 100 assists and fewer than 50 turnovers in a season.
The Milton, Ga., native enters this year with 921 career points through his first two seasons as well as 260 career assists.
