THIS WEEK
Temple hosts Army at Lincoln Financial Field in the Owls’ second AAC contest of the season on Thursday, September 26. The ESPN televised game will kickoff at 7:30 pm.

LAST WEEK
Temple earned its first win of the season last week, defeating Utah State 45-29. The Temple offense showed up in a big way with six players scoring touchdowns, including four with
their first touchdown as an Owl. QB Evan Simon threw for five touchdowns, while adding one rushing touchdown. The impressive showing from the transfer quarterback vaulted him into
second in the AAC in touchdown passes. Simon only trails UNT’s Chandler Morris, who has 11 in four starts compared to Simon’s seven in two games. WR Dante Wright led the receiving
corps with 116 yards through the air. The Temple tight end room also had an impressive day. Daniel Evert and Peter Clarke caught touchdown passes, and James Della Pesca set a new
career-high with four receptions.

Defensively, LB Tyquan King led the team with 13 total tackles. The game marked King’s first start as an Owl, who added a sack as well. CB Torey Richardson sealed the game late with an
interception, marking Temple’s first takeaway of the season.

With time expiring at the end of the first half, Temple K Maddux Trujillo made history. The senior placekicker converted on a 64-yard FG, marking the longest FG in school history. The
previous record was held by Don Biterlich, who made a 56-yard try in 1975. Additionally, Trujillo now holds the longest FG made in Lincoln Financial Field history, surpassing the 61-
yard mark previously held by Philadelphia Eagles’ Jake Elliot. It is also the longest ever in the American Athletic Conference.

LAST TIME VS. ARMY
Temple last faced Army in October 2017 at Michie Stadium. The Owls lost a close game in overtime, 31-28. Temple RB Ryquell Armstead rushed for 151 yards and added a touchdown,
while QB Frank Nutile completed 20 of 29 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown.

LAST TIME VS. ARMY AT LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD
Temple opened the 2016 season at home against Army, with the Black Knights winning 28-13. Army RB Andy Davidson rushed for two touchdowns and totaled 121 total yards on the
ground.

UP NEXT
Temple will travel to East Hartford, Connecticut, to face UConn on Oct. 5. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm ET and will air on CBS Sports Network.
