A PERFECT 10 FOR WILL
Will Howard completed his first 10 passes,
for 177 yards, to stake Ohio State to a
21-0 first-quarter lead in route to the
56-0 victory over Western Michigan two
Saturdays ago.
Howard, who topped 6,000 career yards
passing in the Akron game, finished the
WMU game completing 18 of 26 passes for
292 yards with one touchdown, a 70-yard
pass play to Jeremiah Smith.
Howard also scored his first touchdown as
a Buckeye, the 20th of his career.

Will Howard is the most experienced of
Ohio State’s quarterbacks entering the
season with 34 games played and 28 starts
at Kansas State between 2020-23.
His six starts the second half of 2022
helped the Wildcats win the Big 12 title and
included a championship game win over
CFP finalist TCU.
Howard was 8-4 as the team’s starting
quarterback in 2023 and was named
second-team all-Big 12.
Howard set the Kansas State career
record with 48 touchdown passes and tied
the school single season record with 24
touchdown passes in 2023.
Howard also rushed for 921 yards in his
four seasons with the Wildcats. He scored
19 rushing touchdowns and had long runs
of 80 yards vs. TCU in 2020, 71 yards vs.
Texas in 2021 and 70 yards in 2023 vs.
Oklahoma State
