Bengals rookie offensive tackle Amarius Mims shocked everyone on how flawless he played against Tampa Bay’s #1 defensive line Saturday night. He allowed no QB pressures or sacks. The entire OL did not allow any sacks either.

The 6’8, 340-pounder has had football experts and media question his durability throughout college. And they are questioning it again.

The former Georgia Bulldog with tremendous potential is hurt after emerging from Saturday night’s NFL debut with a strained pectoral muscle and will not play against the Bears or Colts, the final two preseason games.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that the 21-year-old will be sidelined for “several weeks” to heal up.

It’s not a season-ending injury but for any rookie, missing at least a month or more of reps in practice can through his timing off when he returns to game action.
