NEW YORK (June 11, 2024) – Edmonton Oilers forward Sam Carrick has been fined $2,213.54, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for slashing Florida Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov during Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final in Florida on Monday, June 10, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 17:57 of the third period. Carrick was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
