INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Oral Roberts guard Max Abmas joined an elite crew being selected to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association 2020-21 Men’s All-District Team, based on voting from its national membership of 900-plus.
Currently the nation’s leading scorer, the sophomore from Rockwall, Texas averages 24.2 points per game and led the Golden Eagles to their first NCAA Championship appearance since 2008. A shooter from anywhere on the court, Abmas ranks in the top 10 in the country in 3-pointers made per game, total field goals made and free-throw percentage.
Abmas is the first ORU player to land on the USBWA All-District team in at least 20 years and the only player from The Summit League to earn the honor this year.
The USBWA has selected All-District teams since the 1956-57 season, its founding year.
