Butler located in Indianapolis, IN and Dayton, located in Ohio are connected by Interstate 70 by 117 miles.

So Bulldogs guard Posh Alexander did not look far when choosing his transfer destination.

Alexander will use his final year of eligibility to play his fifth with the Flyers. He announced it on Twitter on Friday.

The 6-foot guard averaged 11.3 points, 4.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds in his only season playing for head coach Thad Matta last year.

Before playing at Butler,  Alexander spent two seasons at Big East rival, St. John’s where he earned the Big East’s Freshman and Defensive Player of the Year awards.

He will give the Flyers another good shooter and defender in the backcourt since they lost Kobe Elvis (Oklahoma) and Koby Brea (Kentucky) to the transfer portal.
